09 October 2015, Malta: Levmet Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gavin Prentice to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Prentice has spent over 30 years in the metals brokerage industry, most recently as Global Head of Sales at Marex Spectron, a Category 1 Member of the London Metal Exchange (the “LME”). Mr. Prentice brings to Levmet a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts. More specifically, Mr. Prentice will advise the Levmet Board on developments within the LME and help broaden the company’s trading activities and profile in the global markets.
He is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the LME and was involved in the sale process to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. Following the successful sale of the LME, Mr. Prentice continues to serve the LME in his capacity as Chairman of the Aluminium and Nickel Committees. “I am looking forward to joining the Levmet Board. I hope that my experience and knowledge of the global metals markets will allow me to make a valuable contribution to the Company”, said Mr. Prentice.
